Unraveling the Mystery: Why Are There No Dogs on Gili Islands?

Air, Meno and Trawangan are two of the three Gili Islands where dogs are not permitted. The purpose of this action is to stop traffic from reaching adjacent islands. The residents of Gili T. prohibit the entrance of dogs, not because they are anti-dog, but rather because they want to keep the island from becoming overly populated. It seems that because dogs are considered “dirtier” animals than cats in the Islamic religion, they were left out of the paradisiacal existence. Goats, cows, horses, and cats are also abundant in the Gili Islands. Why are there no dogs on gili islands? Islamic belief holds that cats are preferable to dogs because canines are viewed as “dirtier” than cats.. Some claim that dogs sent to the islands frequently only live for a week or less before they inexplicably pass away. Some, however, contend that this is because the islands reject the dogs’ presence rather than because they are mistreated or underfed. You may observe cats slouching and dozing off almost wherever you go. However, you may also observe that not a single dog is visible. The island of Gili Trawangan is unlike any place else on Earth. They are unique to the island in its cultures, social mores, and magnificent environment. Even though many sights appear odd from the outside, both residents and foreigners regard them to be typical! These ten peculiar views are exclusive to Gili T. In the modern world, most individuals use a motorized vehicle to go from point A to point B. We take the bus to friends’ houses, drive vehicles to the grocery store, or ride the train to work. The majority of individuals travel via motorized vehicles. However, the boat that transports you to Gili T will be the last motorized vehicle you see while you there. Gili Trawangan is an extremely tiny island, measuring around 6 km² (or roughly 2.3 mi²). Since the island is so small, no motorized vehicles are present! These Gili taxis are available for use by anyone at any time of day or night. But if you want to walk it out, you’ll seem less like a tourist! There are a ton of cats on Gili T Island! Since many island residents keep them as pets, some of them are domestic. A large number of them are savage, roaming the island and taking care of themselves. The majority of Gili cats are hybrids. They are obedient to a certain diving shop, hostel, or homestay that provides food, but they are free. But while there are a lot of cats living on Gili T, there are none on the island! Actually, dogs are not allowed at all on any of the Gili islands. The goal is to prevent an issue with overcrowding. All around Bali, Lombok, the rest of Indonesia, and even the world, there are hundreds of stray dogs. Gili T’s dog restriction prevents the issue from spreading to neighboring islands. Even yet, it seems odd to be in a country where such an animal is not widespread. Consider how frequently you interact with them at home. You may hear dogs barking in your daily life, see your neighbor walking his dog, or possess one as a pet. One thing about Gili T you might not notice right away is that there are no dogs.
